Lataguri is a small village located in the Jalpaiguri district state of West Bengal. The village is the entry points of the Gorumara Natioinal Park which is poplar sightseeing near Lataguri. It is situated at the confluence of River Murti and River Jaldhaka of the Doers region. The park was declared as National park because of its great diversity of plants and animals, some animals that can be seen here are elephants, rhinoceros, sambar deer, bison, gaur, hispid hare and leopard. On the other sites there is Chapramari Wildlife Sanctuary which is the home of different Wildlife which is located on the foothills of the Eastern Himalayas and is an ideal place for bird’s lovers. It gives a mesmerizing and breathtaking view of Kanchenjunga and other Himalayan peaks. Buxa Fort is also few kilometres away from Lataguri located on the Buxa hills. This is an entirely well prominent fort in Lataguri which serves as a temporary home for the refugees during the turmoil in Tibet. The best place for trekking from Lataguri is Jayanti Mahakal located at the bank of river Jayanti. It is also called a Mahakal cave which is quite slender and dark but it is also a tourist attraction place in Lataguri. Rovers Point near Lataguri is also famous for unknown birds and stunning spots for the tourists to explore.
