The main entrance of the park is from Lataguri, where there are many watchtowers for viewing animals and birds. The important watchtowers in the park are the Jatraprasad Watch Tower and Rhino Observation Point, near the Gorumara Forest Bungalow. The Old Khunia Watch Tower near the Murti Forest Bungalow and Suksukia Bird Watching Point are also located inside the park. The Gorumara National Park is known for its large population of great Indian one-horned rhinoceros, leopards, hog deer, sambar, elephants and Indian bison. The ideal time to visit the park is between November and April.
