Transfer to Lava. Stay at Lava
From New Mal Junction, you will be first greeted by our official and then will be transferred to Lava, a mesmerizing hamlet situated at an elevation of 7000 ft and quite adjacent to Kalimpong Town. Reach your pre-booked hotel at lava after having a journey of 100 km within 3 hours. Check into your resort and freshen up after this hectic journey of 3 hours. Rest of the day can be spent at leisure or by strolling around the scenic hamlet. Delicious dinner will be served in the late evening. Finally, night halt at Lava.
Sightseeing at Changey Falls & Kolakham. Stay at Lava
Start the day early as you are going to explore Changey Falls and Kolakham today. Hence, after a light breakfast, visit Changey Waterfall first, a shimmering fall just 14 km away from Lava. Being one of the highest altitude lakes in the entire North Bengal, the cascading water of Changey looks stunning. Next, drive towards Kolakham, a new village inside the Neora Valley National Park. Walk leisurely in and around the village. Enjoy the complete serenity of the village and get to know the lifestyle of the local people. After spending some quality time here, you will be driven back towards your resort again. Finally, after dinner, night halt at the hotel of Lava.
Transfer to Lataguri & Jungle Safari. Stay at Lataguri
Today, in this Dooars Lava Tour, you will be transferred to Lataguri, a village of its own kind surrounded by the luxuriant forest of Gorumara National Park. The roads towards Lataguri is going to be the most exciting one as you will be driven through the thickly wooded forest of Dooars. Reach your resort at Lataguri after covering approx 80 km of road distance within 3 hours. Check into your resort and after having some rest, go for an adventurous Jungle Safari in Gorumara Forest. Have a memorable Safari cutting through the dense forest of Gorumara to witness its various wildlife such as Bison, Deer, Leopard, etc. However, it is worth mentioning that the Jungle Safari is subjected to the availability of the ticket and the price of the ticket is not included in this Dooars Lava Tour Package. After Safari, get back to the resort and overnight stay at Lataguri.
Sightseeing at Jhallong, Bindu, Samsing, Suntalekhola, Murti. Stay at Lataguri
After a light breakfast on day 4, you will be taken for a short excursion to some of the alluring hamlets of Dooars such as Jhallong, Bindu, Samsing, Suntalekhola and Murti. You will be first driven to Samsing, a village known for providing solace to the distressed soul. it is nestled in the bank of river Murti and equipped with a vast stretch of tea gardens. Next, proceed to Suntalekhola, another pristine hamlet nearby. It is also the base of visiting Neora Valley National park. After exploring Suntalekhola, visit Jhalong near Indo-Bhutan Border to see its Hydro Electricity project on River Jaldhaka and Bindu to witness and enjoy the view of cardamom plantation and a tranquil ambience for which Dooars is usually known for. Visit Murti on the way back to the resort at Lataguri. Stroll around the fascinating hamlet and have a refreshing bath in the meandering Murti Ricer. After relishing the beauty of Muri River, return to your resort and have dinner post evening. Night Halt at Lataguri.
Transfer to Jaldapara. Stay at Jaldapara
Get ready for being transferred to Jaldapara on day 5. Hence, after a light breakfast, have a mesmerizing journey to Jaldapara with our driver. Jaldapara is a village nestled beside the alluring Jaldapara National Park. After Kaziranga in Assam, Jaldapara has settled the most number of habitations for the extinct creature. Furthermore, the sight of an Asiatic elephant herd, leopard, Indian gaur, wild boar, barking deer, chital, hog deer, hispid, etc. are common. Upon reaching check into your resort and have some rest as you might be tired after this long hectic journey. Evening at leisure and after dinner, overnight stay at Jaldapara.
Sightseeing at Buxa-Jayanti. Stay at Jaldapara
Sightseeing in Buxa Jayanti will be conducted on day 6 of your Dooars Lava Tour. Hence after breakfast, visit the ruins of Buxa Fort first where the great freedom fighters like Subhash Chandra Bose had been captivated by the British. The surrounding vista of the fort looks stunning from here. A small settlement inside Buxa Tiger Reserve visit Rajabhatkhawa where you will get to see various wild animals from the watchtower. Later, you will be taken to Pokhri Hill to witness its divine lake along with its magur fishes and decade-old turtles. TGN Watchtower is the next one to explore. From here, catch the glimpse of wild animals like Bison, Rhino, Deer, etc. Mahakal Cave is the last tourist attraction to visit. It is on the bank of Jayanti River and considered to be a holy site. Back to the resort again after this successful excursion. After being served dinner, overnight stay at Jaldapara.
Transfer to Hasimara/ New Alipurduar
After breakfast, check out from the resort, bid adieu to the fascinating Dooars Lava Tour. With one of our skilled drivers, start a returning journey towards Hasimara/ New Alipurduar. The returning journey will be a memorable one as you are going to pass through the lush vegetation of Dooars. Finally, after reaching your desired station, tour ends with cheerful everlasting memories.
